Representatives of relevant ministries and institutions participate in meeting with DPR Head on strengthening security measures
On July 15, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, held a working meeting on strengthening security measures due to the intensification of sabotage and reconnaissance activities by Ukraine.
According to the press service of the DPR Head, the event was attended by People’s Council Chairman Vladimir Bidyovka, deputies of the People’s Council Alexey Zhigulin and Valery Skorokhodov, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the DPR Head Administration Gennady Lebed, Head of the DPR Head’s Department of Internal Policy Olga Pozdnyakova, Head of the DPR People’s Militia Denis Sinenkov, Acting Prosecutor General of the DPR Roman Belous, heads of ministries and departments, heads of city and district administrations of the Republic.
During the meeting, Denis Pushilin noted the importance of strengthening the work of relevant departments, whose activities are aimed at ensuring the safety of Republic’s citizens.
“The situation on the contact line, unfortunately, does not give grounds to believe that Ukraine’s position on achieving peace has undergone significant changes.
On the contrary, the intensification of the enemy’s actions is noted along the entire contact line: the shelling has become systematic, the activity of the Ukrainian special services has been significantly intensified. The last circumstance distresses me particularly, since the majority of the population of the Republic actually lives a peaceful life, considering the limitations imposed by the military necessity as domestic inconveniences and considering them an excessive precaution.
For me, it is obvious that in five years of war we got used to the presence of armed people on the streets of our cities, the reports of casualties and destruction became part of our life, we are in a hurry to return home before the beginning of the curfew. Unfortunately, we are accustomed to assume that the enemy is on the other side of the front line. We are sure that we will be notified in advance about its approach. The reality is much harsher. The events of recent days convincingly prove: the enemy is much closer than we think.
We are confronted by a strong and dangerous enemy. And there is no doubt that for the realization of its dubious political goals it will use all available means and methods of warfare, including the most immoral – sabotage and terrorism.
Ukraine’s task it still the same: to destabilize the situation inside the Republic by provoking discontent among the population, organizing sabotage, undermining the economic system and the governing system.
The goal of today’s meeting is the joint development of decisions in the field of ensuring the safety of citizens and maintaining law and order, protecting the population of the Republic from attacks by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance units,” the DPR Head emphasized.
