Speaker of Parliament Vladimir Bidyovka participates in extended meeting of Committee on Transport and Communications
On May 14, an extended meeting of the People’s Council’s Committee on Transport and Communication was held and the subject of which was launching the week of road-traffic safety. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, representatives of ministries and departments, heads of city and district administrations.
In the formal part of the meeting, the Speaker of the Parliament urged all residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic to take part in future events within the framework of the week of road-traffic safety.
ʺToday, the Republican week of road-traffic safety starts. The cycle of thematic events is held in our country for the fourth time because the problem of road safety is a topical issue of global significance.
There is no doubt that compliance with the basic road traffic regulations has a significant impact on the road situation, significantly reducing the number of accidents and saving the lives and safeguarding the health of pedestrians and drivers.
Today, we would like to appeal to all residents of the Republic to participate in future activities of the Road Safety Week. It is important to remember that to avert a trouble is much easier than to eliminate its consequences, and that is why informing citizens about the rules of conduct on the road will always be an urgent task,ʺ Vladimir Bidyovka underlined.
