Statement of permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at negotiations in Minsk about escalation of military situation
We have to state a marked aggravation of the military situation in the South of the Republic. The Ukrainian side has resumed provocative activity against the DPR today, despite Minsk agreements and the military disengagement.
The Ukrainian divisions passed to offensive near Leninskoe after shelling with weapons use of 152 mm . The Ukrainian side used tanks, artillery and mortars during military face-off. Moreover, the Armed Forces of Ukraine intensifies attacks after each request for ceasefire and uses the out-of-action time to regroup. The escalation could not be avoided even after the attempts of Joint Centre for Control and Coordination and OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to declare ceasefire.
Such outrageous actions of the Ukrainian side are a vivid demonstration of Ukraine’s disregard for the signed agreements and assumed obligations.
