ʺThere are suspectsʺ: Deputy Alexander Kostenko comments on investigation into assassination of Head of DPR

The Head of the parliamentarian faction “Donetsk Republic” and deputy Alexander Kostenko refuted information, which was disseminated by Ukrainian mass media, on his alleged escape from the DPR after the death of the Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko.

ʺI am here, I did not go anywhere, I am testifying. I can say that there are suspects,ʺ Interfax quoted the deputy.

The Ukrainian mass media reported earlier that Alexander Kostenko escaped after the death of the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko in a terrorist attack on August 31. The Donetsk People’s Republic placed responsibility for the assassination on Ukrainian security services and stated that the first suspects were detained, but their names were not revealed in the interests of the investigation. Let us add that a group of Russian investigators, who should find the assassins of the Head of the DPR, arrived in Donetsk. This was reported by Russian mass media referring to Head of the Intelligence and International Ties Department at Russia’s Federal Security Service Sergey Beseda.
