Valery Skorokhodov: Ukrainian power will answer for its crimes against Donbass
Irreparable damage caused to Donbass’ residents by Ukraine during artillery shelling can be quantified in monetary terms. This was stated by Deputy of the People’s Council Valery Skorokhodov in his commentary to the official website of the DPR.
ʺBased on the data collected from a report of the OSCE International Mission in Donbass, more than 13 thousand people are reported to have died during the conflict, and we continue documenting cases of destruction resulting from continuous attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Formations daily.
These crimes do not have a statute of limitations, and Ukraine will answer for everything it has done to Donbass sooner or later. The European Court of Human Rights is the kind of institution that can impartially and objectively examine compensation cases for material or moral damage. And the more such precedents there are, the faster the world community will pay its attention to the situation, to which millions of peaceful people have become hostages because of Kiev. Ukraine must pay for all the destruction it has caused,ʺ the deputy said.
