Vladimir Bidyovka: DPR’s cooperation with Republic of South Ossetia will contribute to development of our friendly states

On March 3, a working meeting of the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka with a delegation from the Republic of South Ossetia took place in the Republic’s capital. The delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia was headed by the Chairman of the Committee of Veterans and Disabled People of South Ossetia, Chairman of the Public Chamber of South Ossetia Madina Pliyeva.

Deputies of the People’s Council Rinat Bilyalov and Vasily Pertsev participated in the event, as well as representatives of the Committee for Persons with Disabilities – War Veterans, Labour and law enforcement agencies of the DPR.

Vladimir Bidyovka, in his welcoming speech, noted the importance and significance of the work carried out in committees and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.

ʺFirst and foremost, I would like to talk about the importance of activities you are pursuing. Unfortunately, the Republic of South Ossetia and Donetsk People’s Republic has experienced war. A path of our states to independence and autonomy has included a hail of fire. The formation of our countries is filled with heroic and, at the same time, tragic stories.

An individual has always been in the centre of our attention and state aid and public support, especially when the country is facing military action, is of particular importance. It is our duty to help veterans of military service, who defended their home land, to support those, who suffered serious wounds and are limited in their abilities today – it is our duty and I am sincerely glad that both the Republic of South Ossetia and the Donetsk People’s Republic pay great attention to this.

Our states are spiritually close to each other, moreover, I believe that our Republics can indeed be considered brotherly. A number of agreements have been signed between the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Republic of South Ossetia, which gives us an opportunity to develop cooperation, to exchange experience in many areas. I express hope that both the visit of the delegation of the Donetsk People’s Republic to the Republic of South Ossetia, which took place last year, and your return visit today will bring positive results in the future, which will contribute to the improvement of our friendly countries,ʺ the parliamentarian speaker said.

In turn, the delegation members thanked the representatives of the Committee for Persons with Disabilities – War Veterans, Labour and law enforcement agencies of the DPR for active cooperation and discussed plans for further joint work.
