Vladimir Bidyovka holds briefing regarding creation of Youth Parliament

On February 27, the press centre of the Donetsk News Agency hosted a briefing by Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka regarding the creation of the Youth Parliament in the DPR.

“The People’s Council, as well as the Head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, supports the initiative of the Young Republic public organization to create a Youth Parliament.

The setup of the Youth Parliament will be structured in the same way as the work of the People’s Council: candidates for deputies will participate in elections, according to the results of which a 50-member parliament will be formed for a period of 2 years. Next there will be the election of a chairman and their deputies.

On the basis of the parliament, specialized committees will work, the main task of which will be to develop proposals for the draft laws of the DPR People’s Council, as well as programmes for patriotic education of children and youth of the Republic,” says Vladimir Bidyovka.

The Speaker of Parliament said that on Thursday, February 28, at the extraordinary plenary meeting of the People’s Council, the regulation on the Youth Parliament would be considered.

“The first meeting of the elected Youth Parliament is scheduled for April of this year. Of course, the deputies of the People’s Council and the young parliamentarians will closely cooperate throughout the entire period of work of the Youth Parliament. It is planned to hold two sessions that are three months long each. Thus, by the end of 2019, it will be possible to talk about the first interim results of the work,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.

He stressed that the work of the parliament will allow young deputies not only to take part in state policy, but also strengthen integration processes with the Russian Federation, since the young members of the DPR parliamentarians will interact with the youth parliaments of the Russian Federation at various levels.
