Vladimir Bidyovka: Peaceful settlement of conflict in Donbass is not on Kiev’s agenda
The statement of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak on refusal to ban retaliation fire by Ukrainian military forces demonstrates that the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass is not on Kiev’s agenda. The Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka shared this opinion in an interview with RIA Novosti.
ʺThe fact that such statements are made by the minister of defence, that is, a person who has a direct connection with authority in Ukraine, demonstrates a certain Ukrainian stance: the peaceful settlement of the conflict is not on Kiev’s agenda. How can there be any kind of implementation of the Minsk agreements by the Ukrainian side in this situation?ʺ the speaker of the parliament noted.
Vladimir Bidyovka added that the minister of defence should call things by their right names, since the armed forces of Ukraine would not return fire, but they would continue their military provocations in order to terrorize the people of Donbass.
ʺOverall, strong statements on the need to negotiate with the Donetsk and the Lugansk People’s Republics, end the war on our land increasingly seem to be jokes, however such methods are not applicable in politics, because you should always stand by your words,ʺ the chairman of the People’s Council summed up.
