Vladimir Bidyovka: People’s Council will provide comprehensive legislative support to DPR Head’s initiatives (video)
The development of the economy, the fight against corruption and other priorities assigned by the Head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, to the leadership of the Republic, will be supported legislatively within the framework of the activities of the parliament of the new convocation. Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka talked about this in the Meeting Place programme on the Oplot TV channel.
The Speaker of Parliament noted that only teamwork of representatives of all government branches will allow to realize all the tasks and to justify the trust of Republic’s people.
“Evaluating the work as a deputy of the first and second convocations, I can say that the first convocation definitely did a great job: for the entire period 272 laws have been passed in two readings. The DPR Head very accurately described this work, calling it a “foundation.” He added that now it is necessary to build “walls”.
On the one hand, it was more difficult for the first convocation in some issues, because it was necessary to build everything from scratch and they had to hurry up to lay the foundation of the legislative framework as fast as possible. On the other hand, the second convocation has to work in new conditions, when the population has higher requirements in terms of social security and the economy.
Despite the fact that we have three branches of government, we understand that our goals are the same, and we are approaching their solution as a single team. The tasks set by DPR Head Denis Pushilin, in particular the emphasis on the economy and the fight against corruption, is an important, hefty stage of our activity, and we will provide comprehensive legislative support to these initiatives,” Vladimir Bidyovka underlined.
