Vladimir Bidyovka: Those in power in Ukraine do not pursue peace

For the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Minsk agreements are an opportunity to develop statehood and resolve the conflict in Donbass via diplomatic means. The Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, Vladimir Bidyovka, talked about this on air of the Politkukhnia programme on Union TV channel.

“We cannot consider the conflict with Ukraine as something isolated; it should be viewed from the perspective of the world coordinates. All reflections on whether there is an alternative to the Minsk agreements lead to one thought – the unwillingness of the Ukrainian authorities to conduct a diplomatic dialogue and resolve the conflict not through war could lead to the third world war. Those in power in Ukraine do not pursue peace and ending to the conflict through negotiations.

The Minsk agreements facilitated the Republics’ development, the opportunity both to refine work within states and to conduct dialogue on the world arena. Thanks to the “Minsk”, pensions are paid in the Republics, local authorities are formed and conduct their activities, the enterprises’ activity was set up, and the process of issuing passports is underway. All of this suggests that we are moving in the right direction, and the efforts of our negotiators are not in vain”, the Speaker of Parliament said.
