Vladimir Bidyovka: Verkhovna Rada’s composition changed, but Ukraine’s system and political course remain the same (video)
The official DPR site interviewed DPR People’s Council Chairman Vladimir Bidyovka on the possibility of an altered course of the Ukrainian parliament after changing the deputies in the elections.
“I would single out two factors, commenting on the change in the composition of the Verkhovna Rada and the ability of Ukrainian deputies to a constructive dialogue. Firstly, if you look at the quality composition of the Verkhovna Rada deputies, there are a lot of representatives of the past system, as well as people who represent various oligarchs, including Pinchuk, Kolomoisky and so on. We can already say that they continue the course that was formed under Poroshenko.
And secondly, in Ukraine, there is such a situation that even if there are a number of normal deputies in the Verkhovna Rada, the dependence of Ukrainian authorities as a whole will not allow them to take effective steps to establish reasonable interaction with the Russian Federation and steps to establish peace. The composition of the Verkhovna Rada has changed, but the system has not, even the approach has remained the same,” the Speaker of Parliament said.
