Vladimir Bidyovka: Yushchenko does Kuchma out of post even in Minsk

The appointment of the third president of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, the plenipotentiary representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk will negatively affect the implementation of a peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass. This opinion was shared with DAN by the deputy of the People’s Council, the head of the Donetsk Republic faction, Vladimir Bidyovka.

“The possible appointment of Viktor Yushchenko as head of the Ukrainian delegation at the negotiations in Minsk does not bode well for the implementation of the Set of Measures. In my opinion, if the West decided to bury the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donbass, then Yushchenko will cope with this task amazingly,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.

He added that it is beneficial for the US authorities if leading positions in various negotiation processes would be taken exclusively by Russophobes. As an example, the deputy cited US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker. Vladimir Bidyovka also reminded that Viktor Yushchenko quite recently compared Donbass residents with the people of Nazi Germany.

“But the fact that even in Minsk, Yushchenko did Kuchma out of post is remarkable. And if you follow the logic of appointments, then the next head of the Ukrainian negotiators will be Yanukovich,” the parliamentarian said.
