Vladimir Medvedev: Young people’s activism in elections to Youth Parliament is indicator of their civil maturity
On April 20, the Deputy of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Medvedev commented on the elections of deputies to the Republican Youth Parliament.
ʺWe attended a number of temporary precinct election commissions, monitored the electoral process and rated the overall level of preparation for the elections. The first thing that jumps out at you is a large number of voters. Two opposing tendencies can be observed in the youth environment today. On the one hand, some of the young people are eager to actively participate in the political life of the country, on the other hand – apathy towards all political processes.
I am very proud and glad that it is not the case with the youth of Donbass. This is evident from a large number of candidates for the Youth Parliament and a large number of voters at the polling stations,ʺ Vladimir Medvedev said.
The deputy underlined that the election activity was on the most crucial indicators of the youth’s civic maturity.
ʺThe attitude of young people to the electoral process demonstrates their attitude to the social and political processes in the country,ʺ the deputy noted.
