Vladislav Berdichevsky: DPR Representative Centre in Marseilles works in accordance with current French legislation

Deputy of the DPR People’s Council Vladislav Berdichevsky on the air of the Kometa radio station spoke about the opening of the Representative Centre of the Donetsk People’s Republic in Marseilles (France).

According to the parliamentarian, the DPR Representative Centre opened on 25 September. The event was attended by about 60 guests, including representatives of government bodies, various public organizations and the media. Vladislav Berdichevsky noted that one of the areas of work of this office was to inform the French population about the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“The opening of the Representative Centre was initiated by our Committee (Committee of the People’s Council on Foreign Policy, International Relations, Information Policy and Information Technology – Ed.) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the DPR. Various specialists from both our side and from France participated in the preparation of the documents.

During the solemn part, the Centre representative Hubert Fayard noted how important it was to inform the citizens of France of truthful information about the war in the Donbass. Currently, a number of French corporate media organized an information blockade and biased coverage of events taking place in the DPR. Moreover, for several days before the very opening, there were several serious attacks from these media, as well as the local authorities, which tried to prevent us.

It is worth noting that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also sent a note of protest to both the French Embassy and the local police. However, this Representative Centre was registered as a public association, in accordance with the current French law. Therefore, no MFAs have any relation to it, and the Centre is open on legal grounds,” the deputy said.
