Vladislav Berdichevsky: It is not worth trusting promises of Ukrainian presidents until peace comes to Donbass
Deputy of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladislav Berdichevsky commented on a statement of the President of Ukraine Zelensky, which he made after a prisoner exchange that took place on September 7, to the Donetsk News Agency.
Vladislav Berdichevsky noted that the prisoner exchange was a high-profile event, especially for prisoners released from Ukrainian prisons. However, the history of relationship with post-Maidan power demonstrates that we should not delude ourselves with interim accomplishments.
ʺOn Saturday, Zelensky talked about the prospects of an all-for-all exchange, the algorithm of separation of forces and the establishment of peace in Donbass, and, on Sunday, an anti-tank guided missile hit a house in Yasinovataya and a fire occurred, a great tragedy happened in the settlement of Spartak – two women were victims of an unexploded shell. One woman died instantly, the other one remains in the hospital in serious condition. A day has not gone by since Zelensky’s statement – and yet again, people die in Donbass, houses are on fire. It is not worth trusting promises made by the Ukrainian presidents until we have permanent peace and complete ceasefire is established,ʺ the deputy said.
