Vladislav Berdichevsky: Ukrainian politicians who predict DPR, LPR’s defeat should recall AFU’s military campaigns near Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo

People’s Council MP Vladislav Berdichevsky in an interview with the Federal News Agency commented on the statement of Ukraine’s Defence Minister that the complete disengagement of forces and means on the contact line in Donbass contradicts the Minsk agreements.

“For some reason, every new Defence Minister of Ukraine considers it their duty to talk about that the fact that they are knowledgeable about information about the presence of Russian troops in Donbass, as well as add something about the non-recognition of the Republics and the prospects for freezing this conflict. So Andrey Zagorodniuk did not lag behind his predecessors, took a guideline from the table about Russian aggression, issued by Western curators, and said that the disengagement of forces and means for some reason contradicted the Minsk agreements. At that, earlier the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine told reporters about how he sees the power projected scenario of conflict resolution in Donbass,” the parliamentarian said.

The deputy added that it is of no avail to talk with Ukraine about statements by top officials who violate not only the agreements signed by it, but simply disappoint Ukrainians’ expectations to end the war in the country.

“Both the president and his subordinates constantly give such provocative interviews, make frightening predictions, and promise Donbass a Croatian or Transnistrian scenario.

Anyway, everyone who dreams of the defeat of the People’s Republics should recall how the military campaigns of the AFU near Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo ended. We will protect every bit of our land and strive to regain control of all territories within our state borders,” Vladislav Berdichevsky concluded.
