Vladislav Berdichevsky: Zelensky’s arbitrary decision is necessary to reconcile conflicting parties
The change of Kiev’s representatives at the Minsk talks will not fundamentally affect the course of the conflict settlement in the Donbass until the Ukrainian government starts implementing the peace agreements. This was stated in a comment to the Donetsk News Agency by deputy of the DPR People’s Council Vladislav Berdichevsky.
“There is no need to attract new members to the “Normandy” format or to constantly change the composition of the Contact Group. We need one arbitrary decision by Zelensky, which will allow the conflicting parties to reconcile and establish equal neighbourly relations between Ukraine and the Donbass,” the parliamentarian stressed.
He added that the key points of the Minsk Set of Measures, which the new president of Ukraine is obliged to follow, were: a ceasefire, renewal of social benefits’ payment and the special status of the Donbass.
