We have no right to stop signatures collection – Denis Pushilin
On August 1, the conveyance of a collective address of the DPR citizens to the special OSCE Representative in Contact group Martin Sajdik through the plenipotentiary representative of the DPR at negotiations in Minsk, the Chairman of People’s Council of the DPR Denis Pushilin took place in Donetsk.
Addressing participants of the event, the Chairman of the Organising Committee for the collection of signatures for a petition to the UN Security Council Olga Pozdnyakova told about the reasons for the conveyance of collective complaints of citizens to Martin Sajdik.
“For all the time of negotiations in Minsk the key questions were not put in motion. Ukraine has not fulfilled any paragraphs of the Package of measures. Moreover, there is a constant sabotage of the negotiation process from Ukrainian side. The shelling of peaceful residential areas do not stop, citizens of our Republic continue to perish under brutal fire of the Ukrainian artillery.
Every day we watched the infantile behaviour of Ukrainian politicians, who do not want to take responsibility for their words and actions, and our patience has come to an end. Today we pass a collective appeal of citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic against the violation of the Minsk agreements by the Ukrainian side and ask you, Mr.Pushilin, as the plenipotentiary representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic in tripartite Contact group at negotiations in Minsk to hand it to the special OSCE Representative in Contact group Martin Sajdik”, Olga Pozdnyakova addressed Denis Pushilin.
According to plenipotentiary representative of the DPR Denis Pushilin, the Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko decided to continue collecting signatures for the petition of the Minsk agreements’ nonfulfillment by Ukraine.
“Right now, the conveyance of the signatures for the petition for their monitoring, as well as the collective complaints of citizens in the name of Martin Sayjdik has been carried. I will hand this appeal to Mr. Martin Sajdik on Wednesday.
Due to the fact that a lot of addresses of citizens come to receiving offices of social movements, the Head of the Republic made the decision to continue signatures collection. We don’t have the right to neglect the number of provocations which is carried out by the Ukrainian side. We have no right to stop the signatures collection. More than 320 thousand signatures have been already collected, and, if necessary, we are ready to provide copies of all statements of our citizens”, Denis Pushilin reported.
