Yuri Sivokonenko: Ukraine’s leadership uses young people as cannon fodder
Poroshenko, trying to retain power, decided to sacrifice young Ukrainian military men. This was reported by the DPR People’s Council deputy, member of the Parliamentary Committee on Youth, Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism Yuri Sivokonenko to the Donetsk News Agency.
ʺThe leadership of Ukraine uses young people not only as the instrument of political influence, but as cannon fodder. Look at the crews of the vessels that violated the borders of the Russian Federation and who were detained by the Federal Security Service on November 26. They are young boys, who were born in 1990s,ʺ the deputy said.
Yuri Sivokonenko noted that Poroshenko was trying to hold on to power at all costs and manipulated public opinion. The President of Ukraine is using the results of a long brainwashing campaign and development of fake history, one of the results of which is a whole generation that does not remember the past.
ʺI wish youth all over Ukraine studied the history of emergence of Rus, history of real heroes – fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who won the World War II, instead of pseudo-heroes,ʺ the deputy added.
It should be reminded that the Verkhovna Rada adopted a draft bill, according to which martial law is imposed in ten regions of Ukraine at 9 o’clock on November 28. The list includes the regions that share borders with the Russian Federation and Transnistria, parts of the DPR and LPR, which are controlled by Kiev, as well as adjacent to the water area of the Azov and Black seas. The period of the special legal regime is 30 days. The events of November 25 were used as a pretext.
On this day, three Ukrainian naval vessels violated the order of passage for military ships passing through the territorial sea of the Russian Federation when coming from the Black Sea to the Sea of Azov. Weapons were used in order to stop them in the Kerch Strait, and the ships were detained and delivered to Kerch, criminal proceedings were initiated for the violation of the Russian Federation’s state border.
